Tutorial #003

	Step #01: Start with your base. Mine is of Caridee from ANTM.
	Step #02: Duplicate you base layer and set it to 'Overlay' 100%.
	Step #03: Make a layer. Fill it with #531966. Set it to 'Lighten Only' 100%.
	Step #04: Duplicate the base layer and drag it to the top. Set it to 'Value' 100%.
	Step #05: Duplicate the base layer and drag it to the top. Set it to 'Saturation' 100%.
	Step #06: Flatten the image. Go to hue and saturation and up the saturation by +20.

Intructions

Tutorial #002.

to in the GIMP. I don't believe it's translatable.

	Step #01: Take your base. Sharpen and add a screen layer if it needs it.
	Step #02: First: duplicate the base layer. Second: On the layer you just made, use these curves: (Layer --> Colors --> Curves) Value x:24 y:0 x:226 y:255 Red x:0 y:13 x:52 y:49 Green x:61 y:0 x:200 y:209 Blue x:0 y:46 x:240 y:255
	Step #03: Set the layer you just did the curves on to 'Saturation' 100%. If it looks like the person in your icon has bloodshot eyes, you may want to erase their eyes. (in the saturation layer) If you like your icon like it is, you can stop here.
	Step #04: Duplicate the saturation layer, but this time set it 'Value' 100%.
	Step #05: At this point I thought my icon looked just a bit too purple, so I merged the layers, went to Hue/Saturation, and increased the hue by +5.

Tutorial #001.

This is my first tutorial ever, so please tell me is it sucks and I should never make another tutorial in my life. I always appreciate constructive criticsm.

to in GIMP. It is TRANSLATABLE to any other program that can use curves.

	Step #1. Take your base, in this case it's Evangeline Lilly in Lost. Sharpen it if needed. If it's really dark, add a screen layer to make it about as dark as my base.
	Step #2. Open up curves. (Layer --> Colors --> Curves) Value x:31 y:0 x:149 y:198 x:229 y:255 Red x:9 y:0 x:200 y:192 Blue x:19 y:0 x:192 y:255
	Step #3. Make a new layer, set it to 'Overlay' 100%, and fill it with #b8b8b8.
	Step #4. I guess that's ok, but Kate is looking really pale. Merge all the layers. (Image --> Flatten Image) Go to Hue/Saturation (Layer --> Colors --> Hue/Saturation) and up the satuation +60.
